Graston Technique®
The Graston Technique is a type of Myofascial Release Treatment. It uses a form of instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively detect and treat scar tissue and restrictions that affect normal function. It can separate and break down cross links and stretches connective tissue and muscle fibers. Graston Technique increases the rate and amount of blood flow to and from the area worked on and can facilitate reflex changes in chronic muscle holding patterns. It is highly effective in the treatment of chronic injuries such as tendonitis, whiplash, and increasing range of motion. All new patients will have to go through a health history interview process so it is highly recommended that new patients go through the one-time evaluation and treatment process to establish a solid foundation from which they can then meet their health care and/or athletic goals.

Why treat with the Graston Technique?
Graston Technique has become standard protocol in universities and hospital-based outpatient facilities as well as industrial on-site treatment settings such as Indiana University and the University of Michigan. The technique is also being used at industrial settings and by NBA, NHL and Major League Baseball trainers.
The Graston Technique:
- Decreases overall time of treatment
- Fosters faster rehabilitation/recovery
- Reduces need for anti-inflammatory medication
- Resolves chronic conditions thought to be permanent
